Narrow horizontal stone strips set in offset courses — a calm, linear mosaic that visually widens a wall and suits contemporary architecture.
Product Overview
Strip mosaic sets narrow stone bars in horizontal courses with an offset joint, producing a strong horizontal reading. It is the most architecturally neutral of the mosaic patterns and the one most often specified on contemporary facades and hotel interiors.
Standard strip widths are 15, 20 and 25 mm with random lengths within the panel. Because the courses are dead level, this pattern needs a true substrate — check the wall for plane before fixing.
A flat honed surface gives a quiet, precise result; a split-face surface within the same pattern gives depth and shadow. Both are produced from the same strip layout.
