Limestone Resort Lobby & Arrival Court
Honed cream limestone flooring through the arrival court and lobby, with 48 hand-carved relief panels forming the reception backdrop and the transition screens to the guest corridors.
Project detail
The carved panels were developed from the resort's brand motif. A sample panel was carved and photographed for approval before the production run, and the final 48 panels were inspected against that approved sample before packing.
Island logistics governed the packing as much as the product. Everything shipped in crate sizes that could be handled by the resort's barge and forklift capacity, with a delivery schedule matched to the barge rotation rather than to our production convenience.
The limestone was sealed before grouting to prevent haze from the darker grout specified for the floor, then given a maintenance seal after installation.
